As you conduct your job search, please beware of the possibility that scam artists may post fraudulent job openings or send fraudulent communications regarding potential jobs in an attempt to encourage the job seeker to disclose financial or personal information. Always research to ensure a posting is legitimate. Never provide personal or financial information unless you are sure the request is legitimate.
Warning signs for identifying fraudulent communications about potential jobs:
- The communications you receive are unprofessional – they contain poor grammar and/or typos.
- Emails or other communications are not sent from a Sarcos address. Please note that legitimate emails end only with a (@sarcos.com) extension.
- You are asked to participate in a job interview online through an instant messaging application. Please note that Sarcos does not conduct job interviews through instant messaging services, for example, Google Hangouts or Slack.
- You are asked to provide financial information such as a credit card number or bank account information. Please note that Sarcos will never ask a job applicant to make payments or provide financial information such as credit card or bank account information or deposit a check to purchase computer equipment or supplies.
- The description of the position is vague or unclear, with little to no detail about the job requirements or responsibilities.
- The offer seems too good to be true.
How to take action:
If you are uncertain whether a job posting is valid or whether a communication about a potential job is legitimate, please contact recruiting@sarcos.com or 1-888-927-7296.
