Brad Gibson

Chief Technology Officer, Software Systems

Brad Gibson serves as Chief Technology Officer, Software Systems for Sarcos Robotics, where he is responsible for implementing software across all of the company’s robots. This includes ensuring all robotic solutions meet and exceed customers’ performance, versatility, safety and security needs.

Prior to joining Sarcos, Gibson co-founded LearnBIG in 2013 and served as its Chief Technology Officer, where he architected and developed pioneering online e-learning experiences. Gibson served as LearnBIG’s CTO through its successful acquisition in May 2015.

Prior to LearnBIG, Gibson worked for Microsoft Research, where he successfully led an initiative to develop a technology platform, curricula and collaborations with several major universities in the U.S., Canada and internationally. These programs were designed to teach technology literacy, as well as critical and algorithmic thinking skills to children as young as five. This work garnered recognition from the Obama White House, was awarded a nomination for “Outstanding Innovation in Gaming” and was one of two finalists for the “Family Game of the Year” in the Academy of Interactive Arts and Sciences’ 2016 DICE Awards.While at Microsoft, Gibson also led a team shipping the world’s most popular graphics imaging engine, which has powered the default Windows Image Viewer in every version of Windows since 2006.

Gibson earned his Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from the University of Western Ontario in Ontario, Canada.
