Lt. General (Ret.) Stephen M. Twitty

Lieutenant General Stephen M. Twitty serves on the Sarcos Strategic Advisory Board. He is the founder of Twitty and Associates LLC, a consulting and advisory firm that specializes in strategic and operational planning to improve management skills, lead positive culture change, enhance business operations, and drive organizational productivity and efficiencies in order to achieve success in the government, corporate, academic, and non-profit sectors.

 

Lt. General Twitty retired from the U.S. Army with over 36 years of distinguished service as an infantry officer. He commanded units in nearly every echelon and served in five combat tours to Iraq, Afghanistan, and Kuwait. Twitty also served in the Pentagon on the Joint Staff and Army Staff, United States European Command, United States Northern Command, United States Army Central Command, United States Army Forces Command, International Security Assistance Force-Afghanistan, and Supreme Headquarters Allied Powers Europe. In his final military assignment, Twitty served as the Deputy Commander of United States European Command in Stuttgart, Germany.

Lt. General Twitty has received numerous medals and awards, notably the Silver Star Medal, our nation’s third highest award for valor. He currently serves as a Board Director at Nusura, Inc., and as a Board Advisor at Dataminr and HDT-Global. He is a Senior Advisor at the Chertoff Group and the Roosevelt Group and serves as a National Security and Military Analyst at MSNBC Cable News Network.

Lt. General Twitty holds a Bachelor’s degree from South Carolina State University, a Master’s degree in Public Administration from Central Michigan University, and a Master’s degree in National Security Strategy from the National Defense University. He holds additional certificates from the Center for Creative Leadership’s Executive Leadership program and the University of North Carolina Kenan Flagler Business School’s Executive Leadership program.
