Vice President of Corporate and Business Development
Scott Hopper serves as Vice President of Corporate and Business Development for Sarcos Robotics where he is responsible for identification, pursuit and management of initiatives to further Sarcos’ strategic, financial and operational objectives. Hopper has held senior leadership positions in Corporate and Business Development for over 25 years. His areas of expertise include mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures and other strategic and operational partnerships, finance, procurement, and operational integration.
Previously Hopper was Senior Vice President of Clearwire Corporation, where he was responsible for Clearwire’s Domestic and International Business and Strategic Development activities. In addition to strategic initiatives, Hopper led a variety of efforts in large-scale procurement and financing from infrastructure, tower and handset vendors. Prior to Clearwire, Hopper managed the Corporate Development activities of Western Wireless Corporation where he was responsible for Western’s mergers and acquisitions process; negotiating and closing dozens of successful transactions with other wireless license holders. In his role at Western, Hopper also managed finance, spectrum acquisition and strategic activities.
Hopper is an active investor in a number of technology, communications and software related ventures in the Pacific Northwest and currently serves on the Boards of Eventbuilder/Rally Labs and Acceptiva Corp.
Hopper holds a BA in Economics and Business from Hendrix College and an MBA from the Freeman School of Business at Tulane University.
