Program Manager, Sarcos Defense
Zach McKean serves as Program Manager for Sarcos Defense. In this role, he is responsible for managing our Counter UAS and Guardian S small robot programs. McKean has more than sixteen years of experience working on military communication systems for the Department of Defense as a Systems Engineer and Program Manager.
McKean worked as a Project Engineer for the design and build of comms systems for the P-3 aircraft. His customers included both foreign governments and the DoD. He also worked as a Lead Systems Test Engineer for the design and testing of the Navy Hawklink system, an MH-60R helicopter-to-ship communication system.
More recently, McKean served for eight years as a Program Manager for the build of air and ground communication systems for the Army Shadow 200 UAS. In his capacity as program manager, he was also responsible for managing costs, schedule, and sustainment efforts. He has also managed numerous proposal efforts and has worked in setting up repair depot operations for UAS components.
McKean holds a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering and an MBA from the University of Utah.
